This is their story;

Please read this as if I am a member of your family. Maybe your son or a friend, and as if my dying family is your family. Since the war on Gaza began, I have lost almost everything

I am oday, from Gaza, writing to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for help. My family and I have been plunged into a nightmare of fear, displacement and uncertainty due to the ongoing occupation of our homeland. Now, with nowhere else to turn, we are asking for your compassion and empathy to secure a safe and peaceful future for my family. The horrors of war forced my family and I to flee our home with my siblings, leaving behind everything we hold dear. Amidst the chaos and destruction, we have not only lost our possessions, but also our sense of security and stability. Our home has been reduced to rubble, and we find ourselves teetering on the edge of despair, struggling to provide even the most basic necessities for our family.

On December 21, 2023, I lost two more cousins ​​from my father’s family along with their spouses and all the children who are still under the rubble until now. This shock, two months after losing my mother’s family, was a huge slap in the face. It was a harsh reminder that death has not stopped, and that none of us are exempt in this genocide, neither woman nor child, each one of us is a target for the death machines above our heads. This circle of loss did not end here. After more than 5 times of displacement and having to leave our home to escape missiles and death, we returned to our home and found it almost wiped out. More than half of it was destroyed and became an uninhabitable place, leaving us not only with tired hearts but also without a place to stay. At first I introduced myself as a technology engineer from Gaza with dreams, a young man in his twenties with career plans and goals to achieve, someone who lost a lot in a short period of time. But in this war, I am the most important, like an older brother who sees what is slipping away before his eyes, as I see my brothers who did not complete their university studies, my sisters who are still young and should be in school, and my mother and my only uncle now who found themselves forced to start from scratch when they were supposed to catch their breath and retire after raising their children and having a stable life, as I see them, I made it my mission to save my family or those who remained alive, and save their future from all this and escape from Gaza. All I have left alive are my uncle and his family, along with my mother, father, sisters and brothers from my entire extended family, and before I lose another one of them, I intend to evacuate my entire extended family from Gaza:

* Me, my mother, father, my six siblings, my brother and 3 of my father’s sisters (Lina, Qusay, Mohammad, Aya, Rula and Inas)

* My uncle (my father’s brother) and his wife, his son Mohammad and his five daughters (Marah, Farah, Banan, Hiba and Hadeel)

* My grandfather and grandmother

The situation after nearly 11 months of this genocide is that the borders of Gaza are unfortunately closed and no one can leave Asking for your help is the only way I have to save my family’s life and future, your help can be our hope when hope is far from us in these circumstances, every dollar you can help with can save a life, bring hope to a tired heart and save a young future

For the past year I have been in contact with Oday he has shared his happy memories and most recently his sad moments. Oday continues to lose loved ones and has been heartbroken, he would always say he is the last person to lose hope.. As humans they deserve basic human rights, they do not want to be online being a burden on others because they have to ask for your help to have one meal a day. Oday would rather work to continue to feed his family, but he can’t. He’s been robbed of a life of dignity..

MESSAGE FROM ODAY

We’re not just under bombardment… we’re starving. There’s nothing normal in Gaza today: no life, no security, not even bread. Imagine a kilo of flour costs $50! Not a kilo of meat… flour! People are looking for a piece of bread and can’t find it, and if they do find it, it’s too expensive for anyone.

Mothers are sleeping without being able to feed their children. Children are dying of hunger before a missile hits them. The situation has reached an unbearable level.

Prices are skyrocketing, aid is almost cut off, and people are literally living on a drop of water and a dry loaf of bread (if they can find it at all). And every day that passes is worse than the one before it.

Help us get our voices heard. Speak up, spread the word, and scream with us. Gaza is bleeding… not just blood, but dignity, hunger, and pain.
